Hird backs AFL refusal to sign anti-doping code (4.7.2005)
Essendon captain James Hird has thrown his support behind the AFL in its decision not to sign the World Anti-Doping Agency's drug code, saying the fact the AFL was now the only big sporting code in Australia that was not WADA compliant did not mean it was soft on drugs.
